Whittlesford Warriors : Frank Moden Memorial Cup Final match

A thrilling final against our old rivals. Strikers lead most of the match following a great strike by Pete.


But the Warriors pulled it back with a terrific free kick from the edge of the box. 1-1 at full time.


Into extra time, the Warriorrs took the lead but with minutes to go David scored the equaliser after seeing an early effort disallowed. 2-2 and time for penalties. The score was 2-2 after five penalties a piece and so it was sudden death !

Cosmo steps up and smacks it in off the goalie and post - phew! The unlucky warrior failed to score and the Strikers take the cup 3-2. How sweet is that? !
