George Bannister saved a penalty for Ely Crusaders, but they went on to lose 4-0 at Bluntisham Rangers in 14A. Sam Mitchell killed off any chances of a Cottenham United comeback by completing his treble in the second half to seal a 5-2 win for Spartak 78, who also scored through Sam Jeffs and Tim Wade in 14B. Braces for Olly Henderson and Murray King made sure Soham United kept up their 14E title challenge with a 7-3 win at Haverhill Rovers B. Michael Wallis also scored from the penalty spot, and Gavin Dunsmore and Adam Cook wrapped up the win. Callum Pendreigh's three-goal haul and one each from Harry Balmforth and Dwayne Cohen were still not enough to give NST Strikers the win in 14C as they were held to a 5-5 draw with Warboys. UNDER-15 Ashley Hunt found the back of the net three times in Fulbourn Falcons' 4-1 15B win at Brampton Spartans. Max Taylor bagged the other Fulbourn strike. Ryan Brook led the charge with two goals for 15B leaders Soham Town, who put Bar Hill to the sword with a 4-1 win. Elliot Drewery and Simon Murfitt also scored. Glen Tilbrook got both St Ives Rangers B goals as they twice came from behind to level against Isleham United, but they eventually went down 4-2 in a 15C clash. Strikes from Ollie Pemberton, Tom Staley, Nick Favarulo and Matty George gave Chesterton Eagles a 4-0 win over Priory Parkside in 15A. UNDER-12s A pair of goals for Alex Grimwood and one each from Toby Wilson, Nathan McGrath and Charlie Wright took Milton to a 5-3 victory over Balsham in 12C. Jake Burrill finished the day with a trio of goals to his name in a 7-0 success for Brampton Spartans B over Plantation in 12E. He had support from Jonathan Wrycraft and James Thackray, who each scored twice. Matthew Grenz, Nicholas Christodoulou and Michael Reik got a goal each, but NST Strikers went down 6-3 to Eaton Socon in 12B. Mousa Charaffdeen and Harry Stark's second-half scores were not enough to save Spartak 78 Black from defeat at the hands of Priory Parkside B, who put away all their goals in the first half for a 3-2 win in 12A. Theo Hutchinson and Terry Duck each notched a couple of goals to make sure Spartak 78 Reds returned to winning ways with a 5-2 turnover of Ely Crusaders in 12A. George Powell opened the scoring for the Reds. Tom Robson top-scored with a double for Histon Hornets as they saw off Waterbeach 6-0 in 12A. Lenny Brennies, Zak Ollington, Alex Scully and an own goal completed the scoring. Despite Cherry Hinton Lions taking the lead through Ben Bannister, they were beaten 3-1 by West Wratting in 12A. Haddenham Rovers raced into a two-goal lead thanks to singles from Tyrell Barrett and Oliver Holden, but they were pegged back by Chatteris Town and had to settle for a 12B point from a 2-2 draw. Two scores for Ben Lockhart and one for Charlie Irvine enabled Sawston United to win 3-2 against Newmarket Town in a 12B top-of-the-table clash. UNDER-16s NST Strikers were able to enjoy a 4-0 success over Huntingdon Rowdies B in 16B thanks to a treble from Daniel Mackay and a Paul Golding strike. UNDER-11s Jake Simpson starred for Milton with five goals in an 11-1 defeat of Soham United in 11A. Tom Watkins also bagged a treble, while further strikes came from Lee Hughes (2) and Joe Carden. A Luke Brown hat-trick could not prevent Ely Crusaders from going down 4-3 to Arbury Aces in an end-to-end 11A encounter. Scorers for Aces were Jordan Baker, James Champion, Alexander Ashdjian and Sam Demartino. Withersfield were carried to a 4-1 11B success at Newmarket Town B by two goals from Murray Barker and one from Mitchel Burr, before Oliver Fish made the three points safe with a solo effort. Daniel Ross gave St Ives Rangers B some hope when he pulled the score back to 2-1 against Chatteris in their 11C match, but the hosts went on to win 3-1. n Two goals in each half gave St Neots a battling 4-3 win over Letchworth in Division One of the Royston Crow League. Samuel Pritchard and Matthew Allen found the target in the first half before Jack Brown and Raj Sunner sealed the win with strikes in the second half. UNDER-13s Nye Rees blasted Fulbourn Falcons into the final of the League Cup with a hat-trick in a 7-0 success over Huntingdon Rowdies. David Bustos, Jamie Massey, Steve Balfour and Callum Male added one each. Jonathan Staplehurst hit the opener and Calum Taylor notched his first goal to guide Milton to a 2-1 victory over Priory Parkside B, who scored through Greg Shaw in 13C. Will Laing struck four times and Robert Sayer three as NST Strikers enjoyed an 11-2 triumph over Ely Crusaders. Dylan Walters (2), Tom Fleck and Olly Stevens were also on the mark. Six goals, including a penalty, by Ryan Coulson was the main reason for Over Sports' 13-2 romp at Godmanchester Rovers in 13C. Jake Benton hit a treble, while Shane Rawlinson weighed in with two and Johnny Clarke-Hassell and James Lucas one each. Second-half hat-tricks from Harvey Tournant and Owen Boyce ensured Aztecs cruised to a 6-0 victory over Girton in 13B. Doubles from Jack Barber and Sam Taylor allowed St Ives Rangers B to continue a good run of form in 13E with an 8-0 win at home to Aztecs. Other Rangers strikes went to Jason Billam, Ollie Brookes, Calum Ross and Josh Baker. |
