Shaun and Josh help Vikings plunder points

BRACES from Shaun Jenkins and Josh Bridgeman set up Oakington Vikings for a runaway 8-0 win over Wilbraham Sunday in Division One.

Michael Ambrose, James Clark, John Wall and Dan Molyneux also got in on the act with a goal apiece to make it six wins from six for the Vikings.

NST Strikers turned over Sawston Villa 7-1 with goals from Dan Jarvis, Pete Hodgson, Matt Bell, Jamie Campbell and a hat-trick for Oly Capes. Gareth Bridges replied for Villa.

Histon Hornets beat Sutton Stirling Sunday 4-0 with Dan Brown, Mick Lindsey, Phil Carrington and Nick Heap all on target.

Not to be out done by their senior team, Oakington Vikings reserves also smashed in the goals as they cruised past Haddenham Harlequins 8-1 in Division Two.

Pete Withers, Toby Lipscomb (2), Arto Vargas, Roger McGacken, Mark Thurston and Michael Moor (2) all found the mark for the victors, while Chris Wilkerson netted for Harlequins.

Mark Mepham hit all the goals for Waterbeach Wanderers, who beat Littleport Rovers 4-3. On target for Rovers were Bryan Dobson, Kenny Blair and Danny Binns.

Ross Monroe hit a double for Village Cars in a 2-1 success over Ellesmere Eagles, who scored through James Ward.

Royston & Diamonds were held to a 2-2 draw by Elys Pymoor Rangers with goals from Scott Ensor and George Kew for Diamonds, while Steve Evans put away a penalty and an own goal seal a point for Rangers.

n For the second week running, Royston Town Veterans were on the wrong end of a 2-1 defeat, this time losing out to Goldin Old Boys.

The Crows were caught twice to go 2-0 down before Jason Clark headed home a consolation strike from a Brian Cannon corner before the end.
